Brad Brown

Born in Eastport Newfoundland, and moving around eastern canada, until finally moving to Calgary at the age of 14.
I’ve always been artistic, and very devoted to anything I have an interest in, so at 18 I got into the whole tattoo scene (yes Miami Ink had an influence on me) and eventually put a portfolio of my drawings together to try and find an apprenticeship. After a few tries at shops around town, I lucked into Joker’s Tattoo, a busy walk in shop on 16th Ave, after a few months of shop bitch,I finally got to do my first tattoo….on myself, and I’ve been loving it every minute of the way since 2005. I worked at three shops in Calgary, until discovering the works of the very talented Dave Munro in St. John’s. (previous statement MEGA brownie points!)

So after several phone calls and email’s bugging Munro, I hooked in a guest spot. After the two week guest spot I asked Dave if I could stay. To be honest, I learned more in the first year I was here then i did the whole time tattooing in Calgary, and still learning a lot from the trouble bound crew.

I hope to have many more years of tattooing in this great city, and look forward the fun an challenging project’s St. John’s has to offer.
